Kimon Divaris, DDS, PhD is a Professor of Pediatric Dentistry in the Division of Pediatric and Public Health at the Adams School of Dentistry, in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. A board-certified pediatric dentist, he is actively involved in clinical practice, research, and teaching at all levels. He is an oral and genetic epidemiologist. His NIH-funded research program lies at the intersection of clinical, biological, and public health research for precision oral health applications with emphasis on dental caries and periodontal disease. He is the recipient of several major awards and has had substantial scholarly and editorial activity.
